| City of Cedar Falls | The City of Cedar Falls provides a full range of municipal services such as police, fire, library, parks, recreation, streets, garbage, and sewer services. The city budget year starts on July 1st. Budget requests for the upcoming budget year should be submitted to the Dept. of Administrative Services by August 15th of each year. The city funds social service programs from federal block grant funds, health programs from a hospital trust fund, cultural and tourist programs from hotel/motel tax revenue and some limited programs from the general fund. |

| Leighty Foundation | The Leighty Foundation is a private family foundation created in 1985 by Ike Leighty, the co- founder of Engineered Products Company. It is a general-purpose foundation, which most often funds in the areas of youth, education, service and volunteerism, and the environment. Capital projects are generally not considered, and grant size usually ranges from $5,000 to $10,000. | Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area | The Silos & Smokestacks grant funds help sites, attractions, and communities tell the story of American agriculture in the following 37 northeastern Iowa counties: Allamakee, Benton, Black Hawk, Boone, Bremer, Buchanan, Butler, Cedar, Cerro Gordo, Chickasaw, Clayton, Clinton, Delaware, Dubuque, Fayette, Floyd, Franklin, Grundy, Hamilton, Hardin, Howard, Iowa, Jackson, Jasper, Johnson, Jones, Linn, Marshall, Mitchell, Polk, Poweshiek, Scott, Story, Tama, Winneshiek, Worth, and Wright. Most funded projects assist in the development of educational and interpretive exhibits and programs, infrastructure, and marketing. Projects funded through the grant programs must provide a 1-1 non-federal match to the grant award.
